Hello & Good Day,

I am sure you are wondering how I got started in the hair & make up industry? It all started 14 yrs. ago when a girlfriend of mine told me about a part time receptionist job at a local salon where I would be scheduling appointments for 23 hairstylists. Yes it was the best / worst job I ever had. The owner of this busy salon convinced me my passion and love for my work was transparent and it must be my charming charisma that kept the girls in the dispensary and the guests of the salon happy. Yes, it was challenging but I found very quickly just how much I love working with all kinds of people while in a creative environment.

After graduating from High School I decided to attend cosmetology school where I began to master Hair & make up artistry. This was followed by an apprenticeship, where I was lucky to have met a few mentors that I will be forever grateful to. My advanced training consisted of many hours setting up Estee Lauder promo events for Nordstrom, Saks 5th Ave., and Meier & Frank. I worked directly with account coordinators, President and Vice President of the company. This led to my love for the industry and was followed by education with Aveda’s top color teachers from London and LA. I also took styling classes from top teachers from LA and Seattle. This was followed by continued education with Redken of NYC, Wella, and Goldwell.

In addition I trained with skincare professionals from Phytomer in Salt Lake City, local trainers in the Portland area (PDX), Yonka in LA, and at the Aquage Hair Academy in Chicago the summer of 2008. The emphais there was on Bridal Hair and Make-up for photography. All of this wonderful training has given me a wide range of experience. These hair & make professionals guided me through my continued education allowing me to grow and blossom into who I am today, and a career of over 12 yrs in the industry, that I love as much today as the day I started. Not only do I love the excitement that follows a bride to be on the big day by helping her design a look for her special day, I also enjoy helping my regular clients in the salon with their everyday hair and make up needs.
